The short version: AC Slater collects nothing about you. There is no AC Slater account, no AC Slater server, and no telemetry. Your Sensibo API key stays on your Mac and is used only to talk directly to Sensibo. I never see it. I never see anything.
What we collect

Nothing. AC Slater does not require an account. It does not ask for your name, your email address, your phone number, your location, or any other personally identifiable information. It does not send analytics, telemetry, or crash reports anywhere. There is no server that I operate for AC Slater to talk to.

Your Sensibo API key

To control your AC, the app needs a Sensibo API key, which you generate yourself in your Sensibo account and paste into the app. That key is stored locally on your Mac (in the macOS Keychain) and is used only to make requests directly from your Mac to Sensibo's servers. The key is never transmitted to me, and I have no way to read or recover it.

Sensibo

Because AC Slater talks to Sensibo's API on your behalf, your use of the app necessarily involves Sensibo as a third party. What Sensibo does with the API requests your Mac sends them is governed by Sensibo's own privacy policy, not this one.

Contacting support

If you message me through the contact form, I will of course see the email address you provide and the content of your message. I use that information only to respond to you. I do not add you to any mailing list and I do not share your email with anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the "Effective" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Since the app collects no data, changes here are likely to be small.
